I am a researcher, writer, teacher, and academic entrepreneur interested in the forces influencing digital inclusion and exclusion. With that knowledge, I seek to contribute to building resilient digital ecosystems in which the forces of inclusion outweigh those of exclusion. Making high-speed internet access and devices accessible and affordable for all combined with improved digital skills will have a positive impact, but harnessing the benefits of digital technologies will require more. Digital technology amplifies social conditions and inequalities. We also need to address those. A group of us have put together additional thoughts on how we can move in that direction.
